Finding a Queer-Friendly Realtor in Phoenix, AZ

Buying or selling a home is one of the most personal decisions you'll make. You deserve an agent who sees you fully — not just the transaction.
A home isn't just square footage and a mortgage. It's where you exhale. Where you get to be yourself completely. And the process of finding that home — or selling it — involves a lot of vulnerability: sharing your finances, your preferences, your future plans.
Working with an agent who genuinely affirms your identity means you can show up to that process as your whole self. No editing, no wondering how your partner will be received at the showing, no small moments of discomfort that chip away at what should be an exciting chapter.
Beyond the rainbow flag in a social bio, look for these things:
- Genuine familiarity with LGBTQ+ concerns — knowledge of neighborhood culture, HOA climates, and how different areas of the Phoenix metro tend to lean.
- A communication style that feels like a conversation, not a pitch. You should feel heard, not managed.
- No assumptions. A good agent asks rather than presumes — about your living situation, your timeline, what "home" means to you.
- Referrals and community ties. An agent embedded in the queer community isn't just an ally in name — they show up for it.
Phoenix has a lot more nuance than people expect. A few areas worth knowing:
- Midtown / Uptown Phoenix — historically the heart of the LGBTQ+ scene, walkable, and rich with character.
- Arcadia — gorgeous older homes, strong community energy, and a mix of long-time locals and newer residents.
- Tempe — close to ASU, younger demographic, generally very affirming.
- Scottsdale — more conservative pockets exist, but plenty of welcoming communities, especially closer to Old Town.
- South Phoenix / Roosevelt Row — creative, evolving, and increasingly a hub for queer artists and entrepreneurs.
The right neighborhood is deeply personal. It's worth having a real conversation about what matters most to you — walkability, nightlife proximity, schools, quiet — before zeroing in.
This is worth knowing. Arizona's state fair housing law does not explicitly include sexual orientation or gender identity as protected classes — which means protections are more limited at the state level than in some other states.
However, the federal Fair Housing Act has been interpreted by the Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) to prohibit discrimination based on sexual orientation and gender identity. And many Phoenix-area municipalities have their own local protections in place.
Bottom line: work with an agent who knows this landscape and can advocate for you if anything feels off during your search. You should never have to navigate that alone.
I treat every client relationship as an invitation — not a transaction to close or a quota to hit. That means I'm going to ask you questions, actually listen to your answers, and build a search (or a sale) around what genuinely matters to you.
I'm not here to rush you. I'm not here to tell you what you should want. I'm here to understand your vision and help you move toward it — at a pace that feels right.
For my queer clients specifically: you will never need to translate yourself for me. Your partnership is your partnership. Your home vision is your home vision. I'm just here to help make it real.
Reach out and let's just talk. No commitment, no pressure. I offer a free initial consultation where we get to know each other, you share what you're thinking about, and we figure out if working together feels like the right fit.
If it does — wonderful. If not, I'm happy to point you toward someone who might be a better match. The goal is that you end up in the right home, with the right team behind you.

Hi I’m Brooke👋 A real estate obsessed gal helping clients navigate transactions with intention and ease. Finding not just a house, but a place that feels like it's always been theirs. Every search is treated as a personal invitation to discover a home that truly fits.
When I’m not galavanting around the Phoenix Valley touring homes, I like to head to the mountains for hiking, camping, or even a nice little, luxury AirBnB moment. And if we ever meeting in person for a coffee date or an initial intro meeting, there is a 100% chance I will bring to some sort of baked goodie❣️
